About Us
Mahmood and Iris have been welcoming and looking after visitors since their early days in establishing Sammy’s Restaurant and Bar at Inch Beach almost 40 years ago. Mahmood and his mother Kitty, first came to Inch in 1981, renting land for farming. They opened Sammy’s in an existing lean-to shed in 1984, and then went on to purchase and develop the current Sammy’s in 1987.
The family introduced Inch Beach Cottages in 1998 followed by their delightful Inch Beach House B&B in 2002. In 2019, the family sold Sammy’s and developed the existing campsite, Inch Beach Campsite in 2021, which became an instant hit.
Over the years their wonderful hospitality has created many special memories for visitors on the Dingle Peninsula, growing into friendships, bringing new visitors to Inch, and the next generation of Inch fans, as they come along.
Today, they are joined by their family, Mark, George and Zarah, and even the 4th generation are displaying their natural hospitality skills for guests and visitors! Mahmood, Iris and family continue to love what they do and look forward to welcoming you and looking after you here surrounded by the magnificence of their beloved Inch Beach.
